The Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti (CTE) of Genoa is a unique centre at both national and European levels for business acceleration and technological transfer to enterprises, with a particular focus on start-ups and SMEs operating in the fields of emerging technologies and the cultural and creative industry. Our objective is to develop and grow new businesses and existing companies, promoting “user-centric” Made in Italy solutions enabled by the 5G network and its future evolutions, for the usability, accessibility, security, and protection of artistic and cultural heritage.

An Innovation Ecosystem

The CTE of Genoa integrates the infrastructures and laboratories of CNR, UNIGE, IIT, Start 4.0, and industrial partners to orchestrate an innovation ecosystem based on a model involving businesses, research centres, public bodies, and citizens. We offer cross-disciplinary specialist skills, training, and innovation on key technological blocks such as Multi-Access Edge Computing, Internet Exchange, Cloud NFV, Digital Twinning, Virtual Reality, Augmented and Immersive Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Video Analytics, Data Fusion, and cybersecurity.
